Juilliard 2024 Summer Program




Beginning in summer 2024, Juilliard will offer Summer Composition, Summer Voice and Summer Piano Programs for high-school music students. Participants will have the opportunity to live and study at Juilliard’s campus, at Lincoln Center in New York City, with world-renowned Juilliard faculty members and guest artists. Rehearse, record, and perform your works with Juilliard musicians. Explore iconic New York City music and arts institutions. Receive mentorship from leaders in the field. Prepare yourself for success in college auditions and beyond.

Eligibility

  • Students currently enrolled in high school or secondary school. Students may also be recent high school graduates taking a gap year before attending college. International students are also welcome to apply. 

  • Available to participate in the entire length of the program


Application Materials


  1. Composition: Score submission of two recent compositions; Two separate video or audio recordings of these two recent compositions

  2. Résumé

  3. Video introduction

  4. Optional: Letter of recommendation from primary instructor

Juilliard Summer Composition

Program Dates: July 8-20, 2024 (2-Week)


Participants will arrive on Sunday July 7 and depart on Wednesday July 21.


Juilliard Summer Composition is a two-week program offering high school composers the opportunity to live and study at Juilliard’s campus, at Lincoln Center in New York City, with world-renowned Juilliard faculty members and guest artists. Rehearse, record, and perform your works with Juilliard musicians. Explore iconic New York City music and arts institutions. Receive mentorship from leaders in the field. Prepare yourself for success in college auditions and beyond.

Daily lessons with Juilliard Summer Composition faculty

Daily composition lab

Daily presentations and master classes with internationally renowned guest composers

Daily seminars on composing and career development

Seminar on college admissions led by Juilliard Admissions staff

Mentored rehearsals of participant pieces with the Juilliard SummerComp Ensemble

Professional recording of participant works

Performance with Juilliard SummerComp Ensemble

Visits to iconic NYC music and arts institutions


Piano

Program Dates: July 8-17, 2024 (10-day)


Participants will arrive on Sunday July 7 and depart on Wednesday July 17.


Juilliard Summer Piano is a 10-day program offering advanced high school pianists the opportunity to live, study, and perform at Juilliard’s campus, at Lincoln Center in New York City. Learn from world-renowned Juilliard piano faculty members and guest artists in daily lessons, master classes, piano studio classes, and seminars. Perform in recording sessions and public recitals. Meet mentors and prepare yourself for success in college auditions and beyond. Financial aid available.

Daily seminars on piano performance and pedagogy

Studio classes with Juilliard piano faculty (performance opportunity)

Master classes with internationally renowned guest pianists (performance opportunity)

Public recital performances at Juilliard 

Professional recording studio time


Voice

Program Dates: July 8-16, 2024 (9-day)


Participants will arrive on Sunday July 7 and depart on Wednesday July 17, 2024. 

 

Juilliard Summer Voice is a nine-day program offering advanced high school singers the opportunity to live, study, and perform at Juilliard’s campus, at Lincoln Center in New York City. Learn from world-renowned Juilliard faculty members and guest artists in lessons, coachings, movement classes, acting classes, and daily seminars. Meet current Juilliard college students and make connections with mentors in the vocal arts field. Prepare yourself for success in college auditions and beyond. Financial aid available.
